In animal models the LR3 analog shows greater anabolic potency and longer duration of action than native IGF-1, attributed to reduced binding to IGF-binding proteins (IGFBPs).
Cell-culture studies show Long R3 IGF-1 retains high-affinity IGF-1 receptor activation with markedly reduced IGFBP binding, giving greater effective potency (reported ~3x) and prolonged activity versus native IGF-1.
Claims of muscle growth, fat loss, and performance benefits in humans are anecdotal; there are no controlled human studies of the LR3 analog.
